Industrial Consortium is now Manufacturing the ICwedge

July 15, 2002 - Industrial Consortium (IC) has developed a continuous motion ICwedge Cooler Infeed system for hot fill packaging applications. The system is designed to overcome the challenges of loading Non-Round containers without the complexities and inefficiencies of the "pusher" solutions currently on the market today.

The ICwedge cooler infeed runs both round and non-round containers from 32 oz. to 128 oz. without the need for additional change parts. The system is designed to handle smaller single serve sizes - 12 oz. to 20 oz at speed up to 800 bpm.

The system's design incorporates a tool-less quick change-over - accomplished in less than 2 minutes.

Our current customers have attained cooler throughput increases of 10 - 15% from the improved utilization of cooler space.

The ICwedge system is a low backpressure - almost zero - solution which results in improved package quality. Our customers do not have the bottle denting issues associated with traditional crowd infeeds.

The ICwedge system is designed to be retrofitted into existing applications or incorporated into a new cooler installation. Because the ICwedge cooler infeed is relatively the same size as existing crowd feed conveyor systems, the system is easily incorporated into an existing line layout.
